Super Easy Grilled Green Onions
I’m just going to say it. This post will be super short but super sweet!
Here on the homestead we LOVE grilled veggies. Of any kind. Just a little bit of salt & pepper and an open flame and it’s like heaven…in your mouth.
We always have extra onions growing in season (or if need be can buy some at the store). I love an onion that’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and warm throughout. Any kind of onion will do (red, white, yellow, green, etc).
We also adore leeks (a plant related to the onion) and we can’t wait to get those a growin‘ in these parts.
Since our hoop house won’t be completed until this weekend we don’t have any onions just hangin‘ around so I picked up these juicy babies at the market (okay okay…I picked up five sets)! They were so big they resembled mini leeks. I just knew that I was going to be in grilled green onions heaven!
We decided to serve these with Extra Crispy BBQ Chicken, Mamma’s Soy Sauce Broccoli, and Baked Potatoes with these juicy grilled onions! Yum.
These are incredibly easy to make.
